Nathan & Julissa Cedarland

Serving full time in Puerto Escondido, Mexico

BACKGROUND

Nathan and Julissa Cedarland moved to Puerto Escondido, Mexico in 2020 with their seven children. Their goal is to disciple future leaders, plant churches, and share the gospel with the unreached people groups in their area.

They are heavily involved in education, both through the Manantial School (K-12) and the Christian Leadership Institute for young adults, as well as church planting. Funding would help support the following efforts.

1. The Manantial School is a K-12 Christian education school with over 200 students and a wait list of over another 200. The school's rented facilities are maxed out and they are looking to purchase a property to increase the number of students and families that can be supported.

2. The Christian Leadership Institute was started in 2020. It's purpose is to equip future leaders and prepare Christians for missions from all over the world. They are seeking an on-campus facility for students to meet in person. The property would serve as a hub for training future missionaries and church planters.

3. Camino de la Cruz is their local church that has been planted in 2017. As the Lord has increased the members, they are seeking funding for a property to be used for Sunday worship, school chapel services throughout the week, and outreach events.

Puerto Escondido is a unique region that is expected to double in population in the next 5-10 years due to increased accessibility being made to Mexico City. Real estate prices have increased, but the Cedarland family were able to find a plot of land for the school and church facility that has been price locked in 2021. The urgency is that they have to complete payment by June 2023. Let us pray for the Cedarland family and all the Gospel work being done in Puerto Escondido and give however the Lord leads us too.
